Disguised In Orbit by Ashinoa

"L'Orée" 

Lyon based experimental group Ashinoa recorded the album in a tucked-away house in the French countryside that bordered on a surrounding forest. The LP takes the listener on a journey through the natural wilderness via the medium of shape-shifting psychedelic electronics. At times percussive and dancey, at others hypnotic and cinematic, the largely synthesiser-driven ‘L’Orée’ is a compilation of soundscapes, featuring choppy polyrhythmic percussion and a deep psychotropic groove. It is capable of being as primal and ritualistic as it is synthesised and digitally manipulated.

 

Building from the minimal Krautrock of their 2019 debut album ‘Sinie Sinie’ and taking Ashinoe into new territories, the album follows tours around France and shows with the likes of Metz, Flamingods, Wardumscher, Bo Ningen, Kikagaku Moyo and many more.
