‘Stormclouds’ is the new single from Norfolk-based metal band Hedra, taken from their forthcoming mini-album ‘The Pecking Order’.
Written during the COVID lockdown, this was the first song created for the new release – setting up for the concept to follow.
‘Stormclouds’ is about the fight for survival within nature and how nothing is off limits to get us to where we need to be.
“The lion knows sympathy [for] its own kind, as does the zebra, but in their own field they will take what they want”, states singer Jim Marten.
The music video depicts the simile between man and animal, delivered through animated concept so as to soften the grotesque visuals.
The track was recorded at home over the lockdown and mixed and mastered by Sam and Joe Graves of Innersound Audio.
